About The Writer:

Tina Newman is a writer, makeup artist, and certified animal nursing assistant. She lives in Suffolk, England, with her husband, Ted the border terrier, and her two young supervegan daughters, Lyla and Ada. Tina was born in South East London, where she remained until she turned 30 and then relocated to the countryside to start a new life.

At 11, Tina converted to vegetarianism after visiting the “Hillside Animal Sanctuary” in Norfolk. Tina spent the following 21 years as a vegetarian after realising the link between the food she had been eating and the animals she had been consuming. She felt this would stop her from further contributing to the suffering of animals.

However, she came across a video online titled “This speech is your wake-up call” in September 2017. James Aspey, an Australian animal rights campaigner, created it. You can view it at here

She went vegan overnight after the speech because it contradicted everything she had previously believed and known, especially her knowledge and understanding of the dairy and egg industries.
